Our Story

The White Family root was transplanted from Africa along with other roots and put on a slave ship that sailed to America.  The root was bought and enslaved by a man named Joe White in Georgia.

That one root was able to produce itself, the Trunk of the tree, with ten (10) limbs, which produced more twigs and many more after-leaves.  This root received his master's name, Joe White, and was able to obtain a wife by the name of Blytha.  To this union, ten (10) children were born: Ike, Joe, Frank, Gordy, Anthony, Jerry, Zink, Chaney, Fanny and Elizabeth.  Below is a photo of our Patriarch, Joe White and his oldest child.

Below is a photo of the building where Mack White formerly had a restaurant and a barber shop.  It is located on the corner of  S. Lawrence and W. Madison in Dublin, Georgia.  The intersection was known by Dublin residents as "Five Points" because there are five streets that all intersect at this corner.
